Denis Jakupi's profile

Visual Identity for Drava Art Biennale 23

From the ecological problem of floods on one hand, to the complete disappearance of water on the other, this year's DAB calls on all artists to respond to the crucial question – what would happen if water disappeared and what would the world around us look like in that case? The visual identity, arising precisely from these extremes, is design-wise linked to elements seen on the shores after floods/droughts. The resulting hybrid, created through analog graphics and later transformed into a 3D model, carries a futuristic charge filled with the melancholy of a potential dystopia, but also playfulness, brightness, and a fluid surrender with confidence in a (civilizational) positive leap and progress.
Project is created in collaboration with Nadja Orkić.
